Great Dorset Chilli Festival
Here at TheBBQist we love to add a bit of spice to our food, the Great Dorset Chilli Festival celebrates all that is chilli.
On the 5th & 6th August 2017, St. Giles park will be host to the 7th Great Dorset Chilli Festival. This promises to be a great weekend for all of the chilli loving family!
Why Dorset?
The development of the Dorset Naga, at one time reputed to be the world’s hottest chilli, has really put Dorset on the map for chilli enthusiasts.
What to do?
So what is there to see whilst you visit the festival?
If you can imagine chilli with it, in it or on it, even if you cannot imagine it, then somebody will have put chilli in it from ice-cream to crisps and cheese to chocolate, it will all be here at the Dorset Chilli festival. Of course, not everyone likes chilli in everything, well don’t worry as there are plenty of other foodie type stalls around to keep everyone happy and full. There is an actioned packed two days set out for everyone, keep checking the website for updates.

We’re planning Mexican street food, enchiladas, wraps, Thai curries, Caribbean curries, Indian curry, Thai-style fishcakes, crêpes, bratwurst, wood oven pizza, lots of food with chilli and giant paellas will all be on offer but if it’s simply a delicious burger that you crave then you’ll be well-catered for. There will selection of award-winning local beers, ales and cider to calm the tingling tongue. We’ll even have chilli cider, but if all you need is ice cold lager, we’ve got that too.

If you fancy getting involved yourselves you can always enter the Chilli Eating competition, if you are not brave enough to have a go, pop along and watch everyone else try it and have a good laugh!
