Thinking about what to get your Dad for Fathers Day, this Sunday June 18th, and left it a little late (like this blog post!) Then check out these great ideas, all on Amazon and available with Amazon Prime delivery so as you can get them next day, or even the same day.
So don’t be the forgetful child, there is something in here for all budgets, have a look and pick something that you know your Dad will love, and let it be the subtle hint that although it is Fathers Day, he should consider getting the BBQ going !
Beer Bird – Beer Can Chicken Holder
This has got to be one of the best and easiest ways to cook a whole chicken, take a beverage of your choice, place it in the holder. It can be any drink we have used beer, cider, lemonade whatever floats your boat as long as it is in a can and not a glass! Shove the chicken down on the beer can and let the liquid steam and cook the chicken from the inside. Lovely moist chicken, every time. In our experience it doesn’t fail.
Esschert BBQ Tools Set.
This great looking BBQ tool set comes with tongs, basting brush, spatula and fork, all packaged up in a lovely canvas looking green bag with brown trim. The good thing about this set is you are getting a few high quality utensils that you will use most times you BBQ, and it comes in an easy to store soft pouch. Some of the other sets literally include the kitchen sink and you will never use half of the utensils / tools. This soft bag can be equally as well used at the beach for an impromptu BBQ with friends as it can be at home.
Char-Broil X200 Grill 2 Go Portable BBQ
Yes, I know it isn’t charcoal, but, this is one of the best portable BBQ’s out there, literally chuck it in the back of your car, go out for the day to the beach and you can grill everything you want on here. I personally have one of these which we keep in our camper van, we use it every day when we are away camping.
Weber Chimney Starter
The chimney starter, nobody should be without one of these for starting their charcoal BBQ, you simply turn it upside down, place in some old scrunched up newspaper, flip it over and fill it with charcoal, light the paper and within 10 minutes you will have a full stack of charcoal glowing red-hot and ready to get your BBQ going. No more, lighting loads of fire lighters, or worse using lighter gel, which leaves an awful smell and taste behind. Give this a go, I promise it will change your BBQ life !
Weber Compact 47cm Charcoal BBQ
A classic BBQ from a classic company, Weber have been making BBQ’S since 1954, they have an entire range of BBQ’s from charcoal to gas. This 47cm BBQ is one of the best starter BBQ’s out there, big enough to cook a decent size piece of meat and you can even zone your charcoal, giving you the ultimate cooking solution for any cut of meat.
If your Dad has only ever had a gas BBQ , perhaps this Fathers day it is time to treat him to a “proper” BBQ!
Landmann Tripod Charcoal BBQ
This style of BBQ is becoming very popular nowadays, incorporating a firepit style cooking area, with a height adjustable cooking grill hung off of a tripod. This allows you excellent control over the temperature at the cooking area, ensuring that everything is cooked thoroughly. Have I mentioned though that it looks awesome as well !
